Biography

Liu Meichen, MD, CPC Member, Attending Physician in the Department of Perineal Plastic Surgery and Gender Reassignment, Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2010, she was admitted to the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Peking Union Medical College, and in 2015 graduated from Peking Union Medical College with a doctoral degree in Plastic Surgery. Her doctoral research focused on the aging of adipose-derived stem cells; she presented the research findings as a poster at the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) Annual Meeting in Sweden. During her studies and work, she participated in the publication of more than 20 papers and published 3 SCI-indexed papers as sole first author. In 2021, she pursued training in female pelvic floor surgery in the Pelvic Floor Group, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Peking University People's Hospital. She serves as a member of the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Professional Committee of the China Medical Education Association, a member of the Perineal Plastic Surgery Group of the Chinese Society of Plastic Surgery, Chinese Medical Association, and a member of the Fat Transplantation Group of the Chinese Society of Plastic Surgery, Chinese Medical Association. She has participated in numerous domestic and international academic conferences and served as a lecturer for training courses. As first drafter, she contributed to the compilation of China's first “Guideline for Plastic Surgical Treatment of Vaginal Laxity”; she contributed to the compilation of “Plastic Surgery”, a national key planning project of the “14th Five-Year Plan”, and the “Group Standard for Clitoroplasty” of the Chinese Society of Sexology; she also contributed to the compilation of gynecologic plastic surgery-related content in the “People's Medical Publishing House Standard Specialty Knowledge Base”. She participated in the translation of plastic surgery monographs such as “Methods for Facial Rejuvenation”.
